VINTAGE TURKISH POSTAGE STAMP
Out of circulation. Single stamp
100 kurus stamp printed in 1973 by Guzel Sanatlar Matbaasi (Fine Arts Printingpress) about Turkish nationa; export of agricultural goods. There is an image of a fig (in black), a ship (in blue) and part of a globe (in white) on green background indicating international trading of agricultural products which in those days were mostly moved by ships (and probably still are).
Kurus was worth 100th of a Turkish Lira (TL) before the removal of the 6 zeros from the end to start the new lira. It has been long out of circulation.
